Dramatic refurbishment of and extension to 16th century grade 2 listed building just outside Cambrid
Work under way on a beautiful and challenging extension to a 16th century farm building. The unusual shape of the extension linked to the main building by a glass tunnel, is designed as an outbuilding, reminiscent of old ancillary farm buildings. The irregular geometry of the roof reflects the sagging and irregular geometry of the original building but in a crisp contemporary design language. The extension comprises of a kitchen on the ground floor and a gym on the first floor, under the irregular roof.
