Planning consent granted for beautiful extension in Cambridge Conservation Area

This is State of Design's 3rd project in the Christ's Pieces area of Central Cambridge. Thanks to highly effective negotiations with the City Council and overwhelming support from the neighbours, planning consent was granted on time and with no conditions attached. Works started on site in a record 2 weeks following the granting of the consent and are currently under way and on schedule. A combination of Victorian detailing, including sun-burst windows, thin mullions, Flemish bond brickwork, tapered brick arches, beautifully sculpted sills and many more, have greatly enhanced the local neighbourhood. Furthermore, this has been achieved without compromising the thermal performance of the building or the internal layout.
